Welcome to Skrastins Outdoor Club

Skrastins provides hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and winter walking activities in the foothills and mountains west of Calgary most Fridays of the year. Bus transportation is provided, with pickup locations in the southwest and northwest. We divide into groups to accommodate different levels of fitness and speed.

We welcome new members who are aged 55+ and guests of any age.

  • A1 - Sulphur Mountain to Cosmic Ray Station return to townsite: approx. 14.5 km, 725 elev
  • A2 Fast - Sulphur Mountain to Cosmic Ray Station return to townsite: approx. 14.5 km, 725 elev
  • A2 Slow - Sulphur Mountain to Cosmic Ray Station return to townsite or AFATP: up to 14.5 km, 725 elev
  • B1 - Sulphur Mountain return to townsite: approx 13.4 km, elev 675 m
  • B2 Fast - Sulphur Mountain return Upper Hot Springs  parking lot: 11.4 km,  675 m elev
  • B2 Slow - Surprise Corner to Hoodoos viewpoint return to townsite: 12 km, 60 m elev
  • C - Surprise Corner to Hoodoos viewpoint return to townsite: 12 km, 60 m elev
Bus Drop Off: Upper Hot Springs parking lot, Banff townsite
Bus Pickup: 2:45 Upper Hot Springs parking lot; 3:00 Banff townsite
